Purdue loses thriller to Wisconsin 47-44 in 3 OT

WEST LAFAYETTE-   Purdue and Wisconsin met up on a cold November Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium on Purdue Senior Day.  The Boilermakers entered the contest 5-5 (4-3) and with a win would become bowl eligible.  Wisconsin entered the game today without their starting QB Alex Hornibrook who did not make the trip to West Lafayette.  Backup Jack Coan went under center for the Badgers. Purdue has 29 seniors on their team who are playing their last game at Ross-Ade Stadium.  There is also a cloud overhead the stadium as to if it is Jeff Brohm's possible last game.   Brohm has been linked to his alma mater Louisville after the Cardinals fired HC Bobby Petrino last week.  Louisville's #1 target is Brohm and

Ball State has impressive showing at Notre Dame in 24-16 loss

When looking on paper, Ball State who went 2-10 last season heading up north to South Bend to play #8 Notre Dame would be a recipe for a disaster.  Try telling that to the Ball State players or fan base.  Ball State had an impressive showing today even with a 24-16 loss to the Irish.  The Cardinals came into the game 34.5 point underdogs and covered the spread easily for those including myself! Being a Ball State alum, I was proud of the performance of this team and QB Riley Neal played really well against one of the best teams in the nation.
