We are halfway through February and rapidly approaching the Conference Tournaments and the bracket is starting to take form as we are less than 30 days away from "Selection Sunday". Here is Crossroads Sports bracketologist Nick Peterson's latest bracket update 5.0
Below is our Bracket Update 3.0 this year. Rutgers and Purdue essentially flip from the previous rendition. They are the biggest riser and dropper respectively. Coach K vs. Woj in the 2nd round? Hoosiers against Sampson in the 1st? Haha And of course, a new team emerges among the top line!! Let's Go Dawgs!!!!!! Their resume holds up to any other in the country. The more I thought about it, losing by 1 on Baylor's home floor is like winning by 2 on a neutral court if you subscribe to the 3 points for home-courtadvantage. In college basketball, you could argue it might even be closer to 4 or 5. Either way, if they replay on a neutral site, I like Butler's odds. I
As I'm writing this, 32 hours remain before Selection Sunday. Fittingly enough, there are exactly 32 games remaining on the conference tournament slate (26 today, with 6 more tomorrow). 12 champions have been crowned, 14 more will win their tournaments today, and the final 6 titles claimed tomorrow for - you guessed it - the 32 total automatic bids. But enough with the number 32 (Jim Carrey would be proud, no??), it's on to the penultimate CrossRoads Sports bracket update. 2020
Here is the March 4th update of Crossroads Sports Bracketology Seeding list. As you can see, we have Purdue as a 3 seed in the East Region and back in the First Five Missed, the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers are slowly working their way back into the NCAA Tournament. We do believe they need at least 3 more wins to secure a berth.
