NFL Week 9 Betting Tips: 4 NFL Picks for Sunday

We are over halfway now through the NFL season and the trade deadline has passed. Teams are now positioning themselves either for the playoffs or the NFL Draft.  Last week ended a few yards away from a successful week in my picks, so now we will regroup and turn last week’s 1-3 to a 4-0 this week! Here are my four best bets of Week 9.  All odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook as of Wednesday.   Cleveland (-3) @ Denver O/U 43   4:25PM Sports Authority Field at Mile High   The Cleveland Browns, who have been humbled in the first half of the season, bring their 2-6 record into Denver this week to take on the Broncos.  Brady and the Patriots put on a

Reef’s Four Plays for NFL Week 8

As we approach the midpoint of the NFL season, there have been several surprises among the NFL landscape including: the undefeated 49ers, the dominating Patriots, and the struggling Bears, Browns, Rams, and the “Brees-less” New Orleans Saints 6-1 start. As we enter Week 8 of the NFL season, there are 4 games that I like going into the weekend to put some money on.  All odds are based off DraftKings Sportsbook. Redskins at Vikings (-14.5) O/U 42              We start off the slate this week with a Thursday night game between the terrible Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings.  When looking at this game, the spread quickly jumps out to everyone as 14.5 point spread for a Thursday night game. This game will

Pacers and Domantis Sabonis agree to 4-yr $74M deal

Just ahead of the NBA season and before the deadline for players in their rookie contract, the Pacers and forward Domantis Sabonis have agreed on a 4-yr $74M deal.  Over the weekend there were reports of trade rumors that the Pacers were actively shopping Sabonis after "seeing the experiment not working".  Obviously, the Pacers like what they see and keep Sabonis in Pacers uniform. Sabonis will play this season on his rookie contract before the big number hits next season.  Sabonis's contract is similar to the one that center Myles Turner signed this time last season of 4-yr $72M.  With incentives, Sabonis could earn up to $85M in this contract. Domantas Sabonis and the Indiana Pacers have agreed to a four-year,

Indy is going after NFL Draft as early as 2024

The city of Indianapolis and Indiana Sports Corp are planning to pitch their plan to host the NFL Draft as early as 2024.  The Indianapolis Business Journal says that Visit Indy held preliminary talks with the NFL about hosting the 3-day event through a 5-year window from 2024 through 2028.  Word is that this is the best opportunity for the city to host the showcase event.  City officials are planning to meet with the NFL this fall to further discussions.  Those talks have included ways to activate area attractions around the city including Georgia Street, Monument Circle, and the Indiana Convention Center.  This past April,  Nashville, Tennessee hosted the event and set a record attendance of 600,000 people. The NFL this

Pacers add Malcolm Brogdan and Jeremy Lamb as Free Agency opens

The Indiana Pacers were active in the opening minutes of the NBA Free Agency period.  Soon after 6PM (Eastern Time), the Utah Jazz went "all in" on Bojan Bogdanovic and signed him to a 4-year $72M deal.  Thaddeus Young was the next former Pacer to find a new home to Chicago for a 3-year deal. The Pacers grabbed Malcolm Brogdan from the Bucks in a trade for a 1st round pick and 2 second round picks.  Brogdan signed a 4 year $85M deal with Indiana then as announced by Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN).  Brogdan averaged 15.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 3.2 APG last season. Brogdan has been hampered by injuries the past two season, but the Pacers have a great training staff

Former Pacers Point Guard Darren Collison Retires

Darren Collison has decided to retire from the NBA, the veteran point guard announced on Friday. "Basketball has been my life since I was a child," Collison wrote in an article on The Undefeated. "I could never imagine finding anything that brings me more joy than I get from playing the game. While I still love basketball, I know there is something more important, which is my family and my faith. I am one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and my faith means everything to me. I receive so much joy from volunteering to help others and participate in a worldwide ministry. The joy I feel is unmatched. With that being said, I have decided to retire from the NBA." Collison, 31, went on to explain

My Pacers Draft Grade………

Tell me if you have heard this before.......The Pacers draft was a BUST!  The Pacers waited and selected Goga Bitadze.  Who!?!  Exactly.....a scorer and playmaker.......No!  The Pacers have found another way to "pee the bed" in the draft in a let down of a night as a Pacers fan.  The Pacers had a chance in the 2nd round at #32 to get a point guard and playmaker and decided to trade the pick to Miami for 3 future second round picks and then they traded the 50th pick to Utah for a future 2nd round pick. Goga is a shot blocker and can score close but the last thing the Pacers needed was another center with Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis

Pacers land TJ Warren & 32nd pick in draft from Suns

The Pacers made the first move on draft day when they traded with the Phoenix Suns and landed scoring forward TJ Warren and the 32nd pick in the draft tonight for "cash considerations".  This move by Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard was HUGE adding a scoring forward who can shoot the three-pointer and also adding a third draft pick tonight at #32 overall.   Kevin Pritchard did say that the Pacers would be "aggressive in the draft". The Pacers now have the 18th, 32nd and 50th pick tonight in the draft. Indiana has traded for Phoenix’s TJ Warren, league source tells ESPN. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 20, 2019 Trade will not be finalized until July 6 when the Pacers will have room to absorb TJ
