Colts sign Philip Rivers to 1 yr $25M deal

The Colts found their quarterback...well maybe for one season.  The Indianapolis Colts today signed QB Philip Rivers to a 1 year $25M deal. Rivers would be reunited with Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni, who spent five seasons as an offensive assistant with the Los Angeles Chargers, who Rivers played for from 2004 to 2019. Colts coach Frank Reich was the offensive coordinator for two seasons with the Chargers, spending three total years with Rivers in San Diego. Reich was the Chargers' quarterbacks coach in 2013, when Rivers led the NFL by completing 69.5% of his passes, the highest completion percentage of his career. Along with throwing for 4,478 yards and 32 touchdowns that season, Rivers also took care of the football, throwing

The Sports World Comes To A Halt

Today March 12th, 2020 will be remembered as the day the sports world came to a screeching halt.  With the deadly CoronaVirus popping up across the United States and into the sports world, the four major leagues (NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL) decided to end all games and activities.  In college basketball, the big conferences started canceling their conference tournaments late in the morning and this afternoon around 4:30 pm, the NCAA announced that they were canceling the men's and women's NCAA Tournament.  No March Madness. No electricity.  The sports world has officially come to a halt. From The Guardian: Kobe Bryant Basketball ICON : 1978-2020

Obituary: By Michael Carlson of "The Guardian"  Kobe Bryant, who has died aged 41 in a helicopter crash, was a basketball phenomenon – a transcendent, if enigmatic, superstar whose rare talent bridged the gap between Michael Jordan and LeBron James in America’s National Basketball Association (NBA) and in the global sport basketball has become. Bryant had retired only three years before his death, after a 20-year career in the NBA, all of it with the league’s most glamorous team, the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he signed his first contract when he was only 17. Five NBA championships and one Most Valuable Player (MVP) award later, he retired with the third-highest total of points in league history, 33,643, the youngest player to cross that

Crossroads Bracketology 3.0 Update

Below is our Bracket Update 3.0 this year.  Rutgers and Purdue essentially flip from the previous rendition.  They are the biggest riser and dropper respectively. Coach K vs. Woj in the 2nd round? Hoosiers against Sampson in the 1st? Haha And of course, a new team emerges among the top line!! Let's Go Dawgs!!!!!! Their resume holds up to any other in the country.  The more I thought about it, losing by 1 on Baylor's home floor is like winning by 2 on a neutral court if you subscribe to the 3 points for home-courtadvantage.  In college basketball, you could argue it might even be closer to 4 or 5.  Either way, if they replay on a neutral site, I like Butler's odds.  I

Victor Oladipo announces Jan. 29th return vs Bulls

Injured Pacers star Victor Oladipo announced on Wednesday that he will be returning to the court on January 29th when the Pacers take on the Chicago Bulls at Banker's Life Fieldhouse.  Oladipo rejoins a Pacers squad who currently is 23-14 and a 6 seed as they are currently 1 game from the 4 seed.  Adding Oladipo back to an already great team will make the Pacers a must-watch in the 2nd half of the season.  Let's hope the old Victor is back!  Coming back from an injury is always hard mentally and physically, but from what I have heard from sources, he looks great in practices and scrimmages.   Just In: Pacers star Victor Oladipo tells NBA Insider @ShamsCharania that he plans
