The Pacers made the first move on draft day when they traded with the Phoenix Suns and landed scoring forward TJ Warren and the 32nd pick in the draft tonight for “cash considerations”. This move by Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard was HUGE adding a scoring forward who can shoot the three-pointer and also adding a third draft pick tonight at #32 overall. Kevin Pritchard did say that the Pacers would be “aggressive in the draft”.
The Pacers now have the 18th, 32nd and 50th pick tonight in the draft.

Trade will not be finalized until July 6 when the Pacers will have room to absorb TJ Warren. Indiana will still have close to $31M in room after the trade (not including the Bogdanovic hold). Phoenix will have $21M ($29.5M w/o Oubre Jr.) after the trade. https://t.co/V3jBkqAOXi

Reef’s Take: I LOVE this trade. Adds a scoring forward who can stretch the floor and shoot the three-pointer. If TJ can stay healthy (which has been an issue in the past) this will be very successful trade. Also adding the 32nd pick overall adds great depth for the Pacers who can package that spot if they want. With the addition of Warren, this could spell the end of Thaddeus Young’s run in Indianapolis.Follow Us Here:
