Will Power and Team Penske led the way on day 2 of Indianapolis 500 practice today. Will Power ran the fastest lap of the day early when conditions were ideal at 224.656 mph. Penske teammate and 3 time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves was 2nd on the charts at 224.267 mph. I mentioned yesterday that Penske would make their move on the charts and not to worry. Today was that day. Ryan Hunter Reay continues to look fast placing 3rd at 223.960 mph. Chevy flexed their muscle today and took 7 of the top 10 spots today.
- 32 of the 33 cars made their way on the course today. Buddy Lazier only driver yet to run laps. His car is still currently being built for the race. He should be out on the track later this week.
- Team Penske had 4 of the top 10 spots on the speed charts
- Local Ed Carpenter was 11th today at 222.842 mph
- Defending champion Alexander Rossi was 14th today with a top speed of 222.480
