Per league sources, the Colts have released VP of Football Operations, Jimmy Raye III, on Monday.
Raye III was strongly considered as a candidate to take over the GM position after the Ryan Grigson firing, and also served as the Interim GM during the search. This move comes very shortly after the Colts fired the head of the scouting department on Sunday. It is very clear that new GM Chris Ballard is set on completing a team overhaul, and is true to his word about bringing in his, “own guys.”
A name to keep an eye on is, Ed Dodds, the Seattle Seahawks Senior Personnel Executive. It seems Chris Ballard has had Dodds on his radar for some time, and now could make an even harder push to sign him in order to revamp the scouting department sooner rather than later.Follow Us Here:
