Pacers clinch 7 seed; LeBron and Cavs await Indiana

The Pacers won tonight against the Atlanta Hawks 104-86 at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse, which was already in playoff form.  Indiana came into the game needing to handle their own business to get into the playoffs, and Paul George led the Pacers with 32 points and 11 rebounds. Indiana has won 5 straight games to end the season and they now carry some momentum going into the playoffs.

The win tonight sets up a first round (Best of 7) series with the #2 seed Cleveland Cavaliers.  Another year, another LeBron vs Pacers match-up that will be exciting.  This Pacers team has underachieved and has played like a .500 team all year, but now everyone enters the playoffs with a clean slate. Anything can happen now that it is playoff time.

I will have an article later this week on how Indiana can upset Cleveland in the first round.

Playoff basketball is back in Indianapolis and it is certainly a special time no matter what seed you have in the playoffs!  Game 1 is Saturday at 3:00PM on ABC. The rest of the series schedule will be released early Thursday morning.

Go Pacers!
