Blackhawks heating up as NHL playoffs inch closer

Tell me if you have heard this story before? The Chicago Blackhawks are playing their best hockey as the regular season winds down.  The Blackhawks are heating up and positioning themselves for a lengthy run in the Stanley Cup playoffs for a 6th championship.

Patrick Kane continues to have another great year leading the Blackhawks in all three major categories; Points (84), Goals (34) and assists (50).  Chicago is currently 49-21-7,  sits in 1st place in the Central Division and sits a top the Western Conference with 105 points. With last night’s win against the Penguins, Chicago tied a franchise record with their 24th road win of the season, a mark they set in 2014-15.

With 5 games remaining in the season, the Blackhawks are looking to lock up home ice in their next game against the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night.

I expect the “Madhouse on Madison” to be rocking all the way through the Stanley Cup playoffs to the finals. My prediction is the Blackhawks will face off with the Washington Capitals for the Stanley Cup Final. However, the Capitals have yet to come through in a meaningful playoff series with Ovechkin leading the way.

The best time of the year for hockey is about to start soon!  Buckle up and pound that glass!!!

Go Hawks
